Hopefully, we have the answers to your questions. If not please ask.
Our best guess over the past two years is between 9-10,000 visitors. Our vendors from their past events at other fairs have substantiated this claim. When they run out of items to sell that pretty much tells all. This makes Mars Applefest one of the largest community festivals in the area.
Parking is plentiful. Please refer to the Map for Everything as published in the tab above. Download it and print it for the day's events. Upon arriving in the downtown area, parking guides will help you find spaces. There is an offsite lot at 121 Brickyard Yard Rd with shuttle service that runs a continous loop during the day. All the parking lots are a short walk to the Festival areas.
There is handicap parking at the lot on Marshall Way and the railroad tracks just next to Pfeifer's Hardware.
Mars Applefest runs on excitement and Martian toughness. We host our guests rain, snow, hail, Mars dust storms and of course sunshine.
Mars Applefest begins at 10:00AM and runs until 4:00PM. We encourage our visitors to arrive a little earlier to be the first ones to find those one of a kind items our vendors have brought. Food vendors might run out of the specialty treats like apple dumplings or Amish donuts sooner than you might expect.
Where is Mars Applefest? Well you don't need a spaceship to get to us. Plug in this address - 145 Grand Avenue, Mars, PA 16046 (or)
Mars, PA is the small borough located almost dead center of Adams Township in Butler County PA.
There are plenty of food selections from pizza, Asian delights, hamburgers, cheese steaks, Hispanic flavors, corn dogs, frozen treats, kettle corn, donuts and well, just so many others it is hard to list here.
Head on over to the Rotary Tent in front of NexTier Bank to provide or find that lost item. We promise to amuse your significant other while you shop, if they get lost too.
Of course dogs are most welcome to walk with you during your visit. They make the best photos. Please make sure they are on a short leash. Of course clean up after them. There is not a designated Pet Area for you know what, so please be dilligent as to where Spot and Daisy adventure.
Mars Applefest is protected by the Mars Police Department, the Adams Area Volunteer Fire Department and Quality EMS Company, all on location during the Festival.
First Aid stations provided by UPMC and Quality EMS are positioned at the western end of Pittsburgh Street. Check the map. Pittsburgh Street is the food truck lane.
What kind of festival doesn't have a 50/50 drawing? Head on over to the Rotary Tent in front of NexTier Bank on Grand Avenue to buy your tickets. Cash only. Drawing is held at 3:50PM just before the Festival ends. Look for our ticket sellers walking the festival as well.
Money, Money, Money - Most vendors will take electronic payments. However, if you run short of cash, NexTier Bank on Grand Avenue has an inside ATM just behind the Rotary tent.
Music is provided by The Pittsburgh DJ Company located in the Towne Square. Please request your favorite tune. Listen for the Line Dancing Shuffle at the intersection of Pittsburgh St and Grand Ave around lunch time. Nothing like a few Martians two stepping.
Many vendors have games to play. The Advance Community Church has a massive inflatable playground. The Mars Historical Society offers train rides just a short walk down the street, past Stick City Brewing. The Fire Department offers everyone to explore their equipment and rigs. Mars Library has a mini-train exhibit for little ones to explore. Of course the Spaceship stands ready to launch with Earthlings who need those selfies taken.
